About Us

The Anglican Parish of Benalla covers the towns of Benalla and Swanpool with churches in each of these two communities as well as the many other small communities in the wider Benalla district. We are a part of the Anglican Diocese of Wangaratta.

Anglican Worship in the Benalla District dates back more than 150 years, with the 150th anniversary of the completion of the first stage of Holy Trinity Church taking place in 2010. Our liturgical style is in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. Across the entire parish, there is a warm and welcoming feel in each of the congregations that meet across the parish and we look forward to welcoming those who are new to the area or may be wishing to exploring what belonging to church and what faith is.

Children and their families are always welcome and we seek to involve them in the life of the parish. There are a range of activities that you may wish to be involved with also, such as the Choir, servers, Ladies Group and study groups at different times of the year as well as other activities.
